No positive Covid tests at the World Cup event in Vysočina Arena
No one had been tested Covid-19 positive when the Women 4×6km Relay Competition was started at the 8th World Cup round in Nové Město na Moravě.
The system of tests in various stages that is in force for everyone at the Biathlon World Cup had proved two jurors Covid-positive based on their PCR test before their arrival at Nové Město na Moravě. Strict regulations of IBU forbade them to arrive at the venue at all, as they would not have been accredited anyway.
All participants accredited are tested regularly in Nové Město every three days.
The whole Vysočina Arena grounds are divided into three separate zones / bubbles; the red zone is reserved for the athletes, teams and the organizing committee, the blue one for jury members, and the yellow is for journalists. Regulations in place prevent people from various bubbles from mingling and meeting each other.
